Sarah Carson’s journey as an actor officially began in 2013 when she enrolled in an acting class. Several years earlier, she realized she was close to the age her mother had died, and began asking herself what she would want to do for the rest of her life. Up to that time, she had been a corporate executive and had founded a couple of her own businesses - the second as a private investigator and certified fraud examiner licensed in California and New York.  ​

Sarah had performed in several plays during her high school years, and then again in college. She loved the experience of acting, but gave it up as an immediate goal, as it was very important to her to become financially stable. So Sarah went business school instead, becoming one of the first women graduated by the Harvard Graduate School of Business Education, and the first Bryn Mawr graduate ever to attend. Then an encounter with an actor at an alumnae event awakened that desire of long ago.  So she enrolled in that acting class, and it felt like she had finally come home.

For Sarah now, acting has delivered more than she ever expected.  She finds it to be an exciting and fulfilling ride, even as it has been a challenge to fit it into the life she had already built.  To date, she's had supporting roles in 5 feature films, leads in 2 other films, and a lead in a sci-fi pilot.

An added benefit of taking up acting was the ability to have more young people as associates.

And for her, the joy is in the doing of it.
